Listed below are the Summer Camp Descriptions, dates and times for 9th-12th grade students. To register online, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Register Now button.

June 12 - 16
Encaustics ~ 1:00 – 4:00 PM   •  $165
Have you ever wanted to create a painting with colored wax? We will explore hand-softened wax and candle making materials to create beautiful translucent paintings on canvas. Advanced students will use pot-melted wax and brushes as well as hand-softened colored wax.

June 19 - 23
Digital Illustration and Character Design  ~ 1:00 – 4:00 PM   •  $165
Have you ever wanted to create a solo or multiple original characters? Students will use laptops and tablets to create digital images of their creations with multiple colored palettes while exploring the advantages of digital drawing software. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices.

July 5 - 7
Grid Paintings and Drawings ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM  •  $110
Students will create stunning images using a grid method similar to the style of Chuck Close. We will create portrait drawings and paintings, using inverted color schemes and intricate pattern design.

July 17 - 21
Wheel Throwing ~ 9:30 AM  –12:30 PM   •  $170
Are you ready to get your hands dirty? Patience and a high tolerance for messy hands is a must for learning this fun way to create pottery. Students will learn the basic steps for creating bowls and cups on the pottery wheel.

July 24 - 28
Hand Building Functional Pieces  ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $170
Students will learn how to create platters, mugs and more using a variety of hand building techniques.  Due to the drying time involved, students will have 3 days to create their pieces and two days to glaze.  

July 31 - August 4
Cardboard Chairs ~ 1:00 – 4:00 PM   •  $165
View works of “off the wall” and minimalist cardboard chairs and templates and the artists that created them. Students will then create a usable life-size and miniature cardboard chair.
