Patriotic Collage ~ Thursday, June 29, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Looking forward to the 4th of July? Get in the spirit by creating a patriotic collage using watercolors, paper marbling, patterned paper and more! Fee: $20
Clay and Koi ~ Saturday, July 8 and July 15, 9:30 - 11:00 AM (two-day workshop)
Students will use basic clay hand building techniques to create a bowl as a Koi fish mixed media collage. Students must attend both sessions. Fee: $45
Wheel Throwing Workshop ~ Thursday, August 10, 6:30 - 8:00 PM Come try your hand at the potter's wheel! Students will watch a demonstration by the instructor and learn the basic techniques for throwing on the wheel. Students will complete two or three projects on the wheel. Fee: $25
Galaxy Painting ~ Monday, August 21, 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Celebrate the solar eclipse by creating a galaxy painting that is out of this world! Fee: $20
June 5 - 9 Art in the Air ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
Take inspiration from the sky above! From birds to rockets and anything in between, students will work with a variety of materials while making unique 2D and 3D pieces. Lines, Textures, and Patterns, Oh My! ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $165
Focus on two Elements of Design, line and texture, to create unique patterns using a variety of art supplies including watercolor, oil pastels, acrylics and clay.
June 12 - 16 Creative Construction ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
Explore different types of architecture and the architects that created them. Students will use the work of these famous architects as inspiration to create drawings, paintings and sculptures.
June 19 - 23 What a Relief! ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
A relief sculpture is something that projects from a flat background and can be created from a variety of materials. Students will learn to create relief sculptures out of cardboard, paper, clay and more! Nature Inspired Art ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $165
Create art inspired by the great outdoors! Students will create both 2D and 3D pieces of art depicting nature, as well as incorporate actual objects like leaves and branches into their art.
June 26 - 30 Fun with Faces ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
Explore the world of faces by learning about the work of well-known artists for inspiration. Students will create 2D and 3D pieces using watercolors, oil pastels, clay and more! Famous Fidos ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $165
Explore how furry canine friends have been depicted throughout time and the artists that created them. Students will use a variety of materials including oil pastels, watercolors and clay.
July 5 - 7 Eco Friendly Artworks ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $110
Find new purposes for recycled materials by turning them into unique pieces of art! Students will create upcycled art by reusing items like clothing, plastic bottles, scraps of wood and more. Colorful Collages ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $110
Play with color using a variety of materials while creating mixed media collages. Shape, balance, space and unity will be taught and discussed throughout the class.
July 10 - 14 The Art of Tinkering ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
Take things apart, focus on problem solving, creativity and teamwork while building artwork that combines science, technology, engineering and math. Artsy Animals ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $165
Students will learn basic drawing and painting techniques while creating realistic and abstract portrayals of several different animals. A variety of materials will be used to create 2D and 3D pieces.
July 17 - 21 Meet the Masters ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
Take a walk through the 20th Century and study some of the most influential artists of that time, including Mark Rothko, Roy Lichtenstein, and Salvador Dali. Picturesque Places ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $165
Learn basic drawing techniques for creating both realistic and abstract landscapes. Students view the work of famous artists and travel photographs for inspiration in creating their own landscapes.
July 24 - 28 Art in Motion ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $165
Learn about the importance of movement in a piece of artwork. Students will create art that visually flows from one area to the next, art that implies movement and art that physically moves. Art from Around the World~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM • $165
Take a trip around the globe as we explore art from around the world. Learn basic characteristics of artwork created in specific regions and then recreate their own interpretation of these works.
July 31 - August 4 Music and Mud ~ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM • $170
Learn about a variety of percussion instruments from Papa Wright to create rhythm & sound effects through story telling & puppetry. They will create instruments out of clay including shakers, whistles & drums.
