  Our homeschool classes are designed to enable  students to explore a variety of mediums, while also making connections between the art they are creating and the world history they learn in the academic setting. Students will have the opportunity to explore both 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional art while learning various techniques for each of the materials they are working with during each session.

 

 

 

FALL 2017 HOMESCHOOL ART CLASSES

Homeschool K - 5th Grades

Clay Creations ~ Thursdays, 9/7-9/28, 1:00-2:30 pm, $90. Students will learn the basics of creating works of art from clay using pinch pots, slabs and coils while creating both realistic and abstract pieces.

Artsy Animals -~Thursdays, 10/5-10/26, 1:00-2:30 pm, $85. Students will learn basic drawing and painting techniques while creating realistic and abstract portrayals of several different animals. A variety of materials will be used to create 2D and 3D pieces.

Clay Creations ~ Thursdays, 11/2-11/30, 1:00-2:30 pm, $90. Students will learn the basics of creating works of art from clay using pinch pots, slabs and coils while creating both realistic and abstract pieces.

Picturesque Places ~ Thursdays, 12/7-12/21, 1:00-2:30 pm, $85. Learn basic drawing techniques for creating both realistic and abstract landscapes. Students view the work of famous artists and travel photographs for inspiration in creating their own landscapes.


Homeschool 6th - 12th Grades

Mosaics ~ Thursdays, 9/7-9/28, 1:00-2:30 pm, $90. Learn the basic techniques, tools and materials used to create colorful mosaics and create a unique stepping stone using glass and clay tiles.

Clay Creations ~ Thursdays, 10/5-10/26, 1:00-2:30 pm, $90. Students will learn the basics of creating works of art from clay using pinch pots, slabs, coils  and the potter’s wheel, while creating both realistic and abstract pieces.

Art of Portraiture ~ Thursdays, 11/2-11/30, 1:00-2:30 pm, $85. Explore the world of portraiture using similar techniques to some of art history’s finest. Students will create both realistic and abstract portraits using tempera paint, watercolors, oil pastels and more!

Wheel Throwing ~ Thursdays, 12/7-12/21, 1:00-2:30 pm, $90.  Are you ready to get your hands dirty? Patience and a high tolerance for messy hands is a must for learning this fun way to create pottery. Students will learn the basic steps for creating bowls and cups on the pottery wheel.

Homeschool Family Fall Fun – Tuesdays, 10/3- 10/24, 10:30 am - noon, $90. Using a variety of art materials and techniques, families will create unique pieces of art inspired by the colors and theme of Fall.  Price is for one adult and one child.  Each additional child is $10.
