Our adult classes are designed to meet the needs of the students where they are  ~ from beginner to advanced, our instructors tailor the classes to each participant and their specific goals, while teaching them a variety of skills and techniques.

2017 ADULT SUMMER SCHEDULE ~ CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

Pottery with Heather Woodson  ~  This pottery class will explore both hand building and wheel throwing techniques for beginners through advanced students. Your instructor will determine where you are in the learning process and help guide you through projects of your choice. The classes are scheduled in 4-week sessions on Monday evenings. Class Fee: $125     
Session I: Mondays, June 5 - 26, 6:00-8:30 PM          Session II: Monday, July 10 - 31, 6:00-8:30 PM          Session III: Mondays, August 7 - 28, 6:00-8:30 PM

Pet Portraits with James Davania ~ Students are encouraged to bring in pictures of their favorite pets to create realistic drawings of their furry friend using colored pencils, pastels, charcoal or graphite. Tuesdays, July 11 - 25, 6:00-8:30 PM, $95

Figure Drawing with Debbie Dirckx-Norris ~ Each week our model will be clothed in a different, themed attire. Basic drawing supplies will be provided, and students may bring their own materials as well.  Mondays, August 7 - 28, 6:30-8:30 PM, $125

Press Platters with Phyllis Schulte ~ This clay class focuses on hand building with color & textures to create beautiful dishes & platters. Tuesdays, Aug 22 & 29, 9:30-11:30 AM, $75

 

 

Kaleidoscope Art Exploration with Katherine McActee ~ Our Kaleidoscope program is designed for students with intellectual and development disabilities. In this class students will experiment with a variety of art materials including paper, paints, wire and more. Artwork will range from realistic to abstract, as the focus will be on learning how to work with the provided materials.

"COCKTAILS AND CREATIVITY" SUMMER ADULT WORKSHOPS - The following workshops are a creative night out for friends or couples and a great opportunity to try a new form of art! No previous art experience necessary! Art Unleashed provides alcoholic beverages and light snacks. A different project will be completed each workshop. Fee:: $45/each

 

Mixed Media Collage with Paula Seim ~ Create a unique collage on canvas using a variety of materials and techniques. A simple color blend of acrylic paint is applied first. Then papers are cut, torn, and layered; then collaged onto the canvas. Stamping and stenciling techniques are used to embellish the completed artwork. Basic and specific instruction is given with guided assistance. No previous art experience necessaryFour dates and projects to choose from are listed below.

Metal Tooling with Paula Seim ~ Create a unique piece of artwork on foil using embossing, tooling, repousse or overlay techniques. Guided instruction provided to create a pleasing abstract design. Repeated textural patterns, shapes, and lines are easily incised. A finish of India ink brings depth and definition to the design.
